 I am Dr. Jacquelyn Ovida Wheatley-Malone a cardiology nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry as well as a Pastry Chef.

As the owner/operator and visionary of Jackie O. Desserts, the integrity of my desserts is very important to me.  As stated on my home page, at J.O.D. my commitment is to create and deliver delicious Artisanal Desserts that are true to my motto: "Desserts Worth Experiencing".

 

My culinary journey initially started as a self -taught baker which is a nod to my late mother Beulah Wheatley who was an extraordinary self-taught baker whose bakes and confections were sought after in our home island of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands as well as in Tortola, British Virgin Islands where she was born.​

 

My zeal for baking lead me to pursue professional training becoming a pâtissière. I hold a certification in Baking and Pastry Arts and also hold a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.
